The Size of Our World

Hi Kids – Dr. Science here. Lanie turned over the control panel to me for a few minutes – she said something about reality TV and a pint of Ben and Jerry’s..I don’t know. Anyway, remember back in like 6th grade when you learned that Jupiter was really really big, but we’re so far away that it doesn’t look like it? Well go HERE and see what makes even the king of the planets look shrimpy.

You guys find the neetest sites! Dr. Science have you checked out the ’stargazers’ club at Sauk yet? Have Lanie remind me and i’ll get you information on it….it’s pretty cool!

  2. Lanie Says:

What’s this about a club? I do have a few free minutes these days between 5:10PM and 5:17PM every night – hopefully that’s when they meet!! Hehe…jes kiddin, Pamda. I’d love to hear about it!

they meet one night a month at Sauk. They have some great telescopes!! it’s free to the public. They probably meet more than that also… The contact person is Prof. David Edelbach! nice guy! He could give you more info.

    Soooo –

This “science club” meets one night a month to play with their “telescopes”, huh?

Methinks I remember hearing something about groups like this on the interweb before. And, of course, Pamda would know that they have GREAT “telescopes”, wouldn’t she…
